# Acer campestre, aboveground dry mass vs height (Model 2)

Aboveground biomass equation for Acer campestre, Russia, from Kartashova et al. 2026. 11 trees. Listed on Tree Allometrics, a free library of tree allometric equations, each quoted from the source that published it.

## Equation

As printed in Kartashova et al. 2026 (Eq. (1)/(2) and Table 2 (p. 10-11)):

> lnPag = a0 + a1lnH; Acer campestre: a0 = -3,195, a1 = 1,174, BaskCF = 1,84

In this library's units, ready to compute (aboveground biomass in kg):

```
Aboveground biomass = 1.84 * exp(-3.195 + 1.174 * ln(H))
```

Inputs: H = Total tree height (m).
The source's own form: 1.84 * exp(-3.195 + 1.174 * ln(H)), with H in m; output in kg.

A missing fit statistic is one the source doesn't state, or that we haven't recorded; it is never estimated. Outside the stated DBH range or region, the equation is an extrapolation.

## The facts, in the source's words

**Equation** (Eq. (1)/(2) and Table 2 (p. 10-11)):

> lnPag = a0 + a1lnH; Acer campestre: a0 = -3,195, a1 = 1,174, BaskCF = 1,84

**Trees measured** (Table 1, p. 9):

> Acer campestre n = 11

Cite: https://treeallometry.org/equations/kartashova-2026-acer-campestre-pag-h/#quote-fit-n-trees

**Our note:** Understory plant (small tree/shrub) under Scots pine. Output in kg: the text states kg for P; Table 1 headings say g, but the kg reading matches Table 1 ranges. Predictor is plant height H in m. Selected as the significant (p<0.05) model with the best fit among 18 species x fraction x predictor models; many others are not significant and were omitted.

## Checks this equation passes

On every build, the library's form and the source's own form (in its units) must both give these values within 1%.
