Equation

As printed (Eq. 4, p. 442)

MFT = 0.0001997(0.000012)D2H + 0.331(0.227), R2 = 0.9493

In this library's units, ready to compute (kg)

Foliage biomass = 0.0001997 * D^2 * H + 0.331
D
Diameter at breast height (1.3 m), cm
H
Total tree height, m

D is DBH at 1.3 m; H is measured total height. Parentheses in the paper give standard errors, not multiplication terms. This original-scale equation needs no log back-transform correction. The authors say adding height improved foliage predictions. Total foliage includes crown and epicormic foliage. The DBH range retained here is the methods' explicit 5.19–40.6 cm range (p. 441); the comparison section describes a largest Greek tree of 41.45 cm (p. 446). That sample-description discrepancy is not used to extend the reported range. No fitted height bounds are supplied.
